Incident Summary Saturday 19th May Night Shift

Please see below a round up of incidents from Saturday 19th May Night Shift

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Woolnough Avenue, York  Time 21:52

A crew from Acomb attended property where a controlled burn had escalated. The crew were able to extinguish the fire using a hose reel jet.

Bramham  Time 22:00

Crews from Tadcaster attended fire to an agricultural building containing hay bales and fertiliser. Supported by a water bowser, the crews used a main jet and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Strensall, York  Time 22:35

A crew from Huntington attended a property where controlled burning was taking place. All was under control and the crews gave safety advice only.

Swainby  Time 22:47

A crew from Stokesley assisted paramedics moving a female in her 70’s who had fallen. The patient was conscious and breathing and left in the care of paramedics.

Seamer, Scarborough  Time 23:27

A crew from Scarborough attended property where a fire had spread from a discarded barbeque to nearby conifer trees. The crews were able to extinguish the fire using two hose reel jets.

Low Street, Sherburn-in-Elmet  Time 23:51

Firecrews released a male from a car by use of cutting equipment following a two car RTC. X2 males were transported to hospital.

In addition to the above incidents our fire crews attended an automatic fire alarm in York which was found to be a false alarm.
