Incident Summary Night Shift Saturday 5th May

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

Scarborough

TOC: 18:45

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to a system fault.

 

Tadcaster

TOC: 19:01

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision with smoke from a vehicle. Crews made vehicle safe and provided first aid until arrival of ambulance crews.

 

York

TOC: 19:31

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a field. This was a small fire in a wooded area believed to have been caused by youths with matches. Crews extinguished using a bucket of water.

 

Whitby

TOC: 20:38

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of smoke seen to the rear of a property. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning.

 

York

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a field. This was a small fire in a wooded area believed to have been caused by youths with matches. Crews extinguished using a bucket of water.

 

Great Habton

Crew were mobilised to a report of a car rolled from road into a field. On arrival this was a single vehicle road traffic collision, crews assisted paramedics with first aid and used thermal imaging camera and lighting.

 

Richmond

Crew were mobilised to a report of smoke seen in an area. This was a small fire in the open, rubbish left unattended. Crews used 1 hose reel to extinguish.

 

Scarborough

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a field, approx. 1000 square metres of gorse alight. **INCIDENT ONGOING**

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a bin. This was extinguished by crews using a bucket of water.

Crew were mobilised to a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm. Cause unknown.

Crew were mobilised to a request to assist Ambulance with removal of a patient from a building.

 

Flaxby

An appliance from Knaresborough attended a commercial premises following an alarm activation which was believed to be a system fault, crews carrying out an external inspection only as no keyholder was present in the allotted time.

 

York

TOC: 04:33

 

Crews were mobilised including the York boat following a report from hotel staff, via Police, of a female in the River Ouse. Firecrews were quickly stood down following a backup call from the Police who then had the female in their company safely on dry land.
