A64, Sand Hutton – Time of call: 08.21

Appliances from Huntington and York attended a road traffic collision between a Honda Jazz and a VW Golf. A 23 year old male driver of the Jazz was trapped in the upturned vehicle and had to be released by crews via a door removal using hydraulic cutting equipment. The driver was transported to hospital via road ambulance with non life-threatening injuries. 45 year old female driver of the Golf suffered bruising only and treated on scene.

 Wetherby Road, Boroughbridge – Time of call: 10.35

 Boroughbridge attended an automatic fire alarm at an educational premises, this turned out to be a false alarm caused by a system fault.

Pier Road, Whitby – Time of call: 13.15

 A crew from Whitby were mobilised to reports of a grey smoke In the area, After an investigation this turned out to be controlled burning that was under supervision. No action taken by the fire service.
