Incident Summary - Day shift Tuesday 27th March

Sands Lane, Hunmanby - Time of call 08:26

Filey crews assisted a fox that got impaled on a wire fence. Crews worked with the vet to free the fox who suffered a broken leg. Fox was left in the care of the vet.

Poppleton Road, York - Time of call 08:50

Acomb fire crew responded to a fire alarm activation at a commercial property. This was a false alarm caused by alarm engineer testing the system.

High Street, Tadcaster - Time of call 09:10

Tadcaster fire crew responded to an alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm.

St Nicholas Street, Scarborough - Time of call 10:42

Scarborough crews assisted RSPCA Officer to free a seagull stuck in netting. Crews used a triple extension ladder to release bird.

East Rounton - Time of call 12:44

Stokesley and Northallerton Fire crews attended a fire in a commercial premises. Fire started in a flue and was caused by an accumulation of flammable material. Crews cooled the flue with water and removed burnt material from flue. Two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras.

York - Time of call 13:43

Acomb fire crew assisted a 6 year old girl with her leg stuck in a bunk bed. The crews used small hand tools to cut the bed.

Tadcaster - Time of call 14:41

Tadcaster fire crews responded to an incident involving water leaking onto exposed electrical cable. Slight smoking caused only.

Whitby - Time of call 16:14

Whitby fire crew attended an alarm activation at a residential premises. This was a false alarm caused by a low battery.

Tadcaster - Time of call 16:48

Tadcaster fire crew responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a commercial property. This was routine testing.
