Incident Summary - 15th February, 2016 - Day Shift

Summary of Incidents – Day Shift Monday 15th February 2016

Toc 0814 hours – Road Traffic Collision, Duggleby

Single Vehicle Road Traffic Collision, one female occupant in her 20s and 3 dogs in cages in vehicle.  Police removed her and her dogs prior to Fire Service arrival, Fire Crews from Malton administered first aid, she was suffering from pelvic and spinal injuries. Crews placed her on a stretcher, she was then taken to Hospital by road ambulance.

Toc 0836 hours – Esplanade Gardens, Weaponess, Scarborough

One elderly lady fallen in property, smoke alarm sounding. Crew from Scarborough attended no alarm sounding. Ambulance dealt with the Female.

Toc 0814 hours – A170 Wilton, Car on Fire

Pickering Crews attended a car fire involving a Peugeot 208, the fire caused 100% fire damage to the whole vehicle. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault, crews used 1 hose reel jet, 1 breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera and an environment kit used.

Toc 0936 hours – Queen Annes Drive, Bedale

One male in wheelchair stuck outside property, a Crew from Bedale used manpower to manoeuvre him back into his house.

Toc 0940 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Harrogate Police Station

Crew from Harrogate attended.  Cause of alarm, accidental activation of break glass point.

Toc 0959 hours – Moor Lane, Ferrensby.  Fire in a bungalow.

 Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate Fire Station attended a bedroom fire in a bungalow, 30% fire and 100% smoke damage to the bedroom, 100% smoke damage to rest of property. No smoke alarms fitted in the property.  Cause of the fire is believed to be a faulty table lamp.  Crews used 1 hose reel, 4 breathing apparatus and thermal imaging camera used to deal with the fire.

Toc 1441 hours – Road Traffic Collision, A1 NBC J47 Allerton Park to J48 Boroughbridge

Incident involved a Renault Clio which had overturned.  All occupants out of vehicle prior to the Fire Service arrival, checked over by paramedics.  Fire crews from Knaresborough made vehicle safe.

Toc 1449 hours – Fire in the Open, Princess Drive, York.

Acomb Crew dealt with a small rubbish fire, the cause was deliberate, 1 hose reel used.

Toc 1632 hours – Cooker Fire, Trinity Gardens, Northallerton

Northallerton Crew attended a cooker fire.  The fire was out on arrival, inspection only.  The cause of the fire is believed to be oven left on.
