Incident Summary – Day Shift 11th June

Toc:  0819 hours Crews from Acomb, York, Huntington and Tadcaster attended a fire at a commercial premises on Cornlands Road, York.  Incident involved a fire in a room containing 2 photocopiers and an oscillating fan.  100% fire damage to room and contents, smoke damage to rest of ground floor and corridor.  Crews used 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus, thermal imaging camera and short extension ladder.  Cause of fire is accidental.

Toc:  1318 hours Crews from Whitby attended a chip pan fire on Kirkham Close, Whitby.  The cause of the fire was a chip pan left unattended.  The fire was out on arrival.  The fire caused 10% smoke damage to the whole of the property.  One female casualty aged late 80s taken to Hospital by road ambulance with smoke inhalation.  Crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan and a thermal imaging camera.

Toc:  1528 hours Fire involving extraction fan in a Utility Room in a residential premises on Chapmans Lane, Shipton by Beningborough. Crews from Acomb and Huntington attended. Fire caused 100% fire damage to the extractor unit and 45% fire damage to laundry.  Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and positive pressure fan.  The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.

Toc:  1655 hours Reeth attended a chimney fire on Silver Street, Reeth.
