Incident Summary – Day Shift 13th April

0933 hours – Fire in Office, Poultry Farm, Market Weighton Road, North Duffield.

Selby and York attended.  Incident involved a plastic table and clothing in a single storey building being used as an office.  Fire caused 100% fire damage to table and clothing, 10% fire damage to the office.  The occupier used a dry powder extinguisher prior to the Fire Service arrival and removed the table to the outside.  The fire was out on arrival of the Fire Service, the cause of the fire was a faulty e-cigarette, crews used a thermal imaging camera.

1204 hours – Female locked out of her property, Kingsway West, York

Acomb Crews helped a female into her property after being locked out by her one year old child.

1500 hours – Bedroom Fire, Residential Premises, Heslington Road, York.  

Acomb Crews attended a bedroom fire.  Fire caused 5% fire damage to clothing and carpet.  The fire was extinguished prior to Fire Service arrival.  Crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the excess smoke.
