Incident Summary - Day Shift 26th March

26th March 2016

Toc: 0946 hours, Chimney Fire, Gooselands, Rathmell, Settle

Settle Crew attended.  Crews extinguished using water and monitored cooling of the flue.

Toc:  0946 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Penton Road, Cayton, Scarborough

Scarborough Crew attended.  Cause of Alarm faulty battery

Toc:  1006 hours, Smoke in Property, Race Terrace, Great Ayton.

Fire Crews from Stokesley and Coulby Newham attended.  This was a chimney fire which had spread to a wooden board in a bedroom fireplace. The cause of the chimney fire was a build up of soot and debris that had set fire to the wooden panel.  Minor fire damage to the bedroom only.  Crews used hearth kit, small tools and thermal imaging camera to deal with the fire.

Toc:  1353 hours, Teenager Stuck in Baby Swing, Rear of Knaresborough Community Centre.

Fire Crew from Harrogate attended. 14 year old teenager stuck in baby swing in play area, crews used socket set and small gear to release them.

Toc:  1535 hours, Female fallen from a bike with facial injuries, Scott Road,Selby.

Selby Crew assisted a 70 year old female who had fallen from a bike until the arrival of the paramedics.

Toc:  1541 hours, Black smoke in the Area, Queens Way, Kirkbymoorside.

Kirkbymoorside Crew attended, cause of smoke controlled burning owner in attendance.
