Round up of incidents for – Day Shift Tuesday 2nd Feb

 

08:34 - Gladstone Lane, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough responded to reports of smoke coming from a building in the area. On arrival and after investigation, crews found this to be a false alarm with good intent, as the smoke was caused by the start up of an oil boiler.

 

09:44 – Station Avenue, Filey

 

Crews from Filey responded to reports of a road sign which was in a dangerous postion.

Crews used a grinder to remove the sign and ensure it was in a safe location.

 

09:50 – Pasture Crescent, Knaresborough

 

Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate attended a fire involving a mattress in a bedroom, out on arrival, believed to be started by an e-cigarette on charge.

 

 

10:06 – North Street, Flixton


Crews from Filey responded to reports of a chimney fire. Crews extinguished the fire in the grate and used a thermal imaging camera and hearth kit to extinguish the chimney fire. It is believed to have been caused by accumulation of soot.

 

11:57 – Otley Road, Harrogate

 

Crews from Harrogate attended a single vehicle road traffic collision, where the vehicle had left the road. Crews released 2 casualties from the vehicle and passed them to ambulance crews to be taken to hospital.

 

12:12 – Heslington Road, York

 

Crews from York attended a False Alarm, due to smoke alarms being set off by dust from workmen getting into the detector heads.

 

14:36 – Flaxley Road, Selby

 

Crews from Selby attended a False Alarm, due to cooking fumes.

 

15:21 – Carlton Road, Skipton

 

Crews from Skipton attended a False Alarm, due to smoke alarms being set off by dust from workmen getting into the detector heads.

 

16:45 – Regent Street, Scarborough

 

A crew from Scarborough attended and dealt with a loose aerial on a chimney stack. Crews used roof ladder to access and remove the aerial.
