Incident Summary - Day Shift 3rd March

Summary of Incidents – 3rd March Day Shift

Toc:  0818 hours, Road Traffic Collision, Outside Banks Ghyll Kennels, Lothersdale

Two Skipton appliances attended. One middle aged male suffering from lower back pain, released prior to the arrival of the Fire Service.  Taken to Hospital, Crews made scene safe using small tools.

Toc:  0907 hours, Assisting Ambulance Crew with a male patient. Moor Road, Bellerby.

Leyburn crew attended. 1 male patient suffering from neck pain, crews assisted ambulance crew using a paraguard stretcher in removing male from first floor via a narrow staircase.

Toc:  1227 hours, Smoke in Flats, Saxon Place, York

York, Acomb and Huntington Crew attended.  Cause of fire, frying pan left unattended, 100% fire damage to contents of pan. Fire out on arrival.  Inspection only.

Toc:  1345 hours, Male with leg trapped in railings, Hob Moor Area, York

Acomb crew attended a male with leg trapped in railings.  Crews used cutting equipment to release him.

Toc:  1413 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Swan Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crews attended.  Cause dust from workmen.

Toc:  1416 hours, Single Vehicle Road Traffic Collision, Union Lane, Selby

Selby Crews attended. Single vehicle road traffic collision, 1 elderly male trapped in vehicle, crews assisted him from vehicle.  He was checked over by paramedics.

Toc:  1449 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Follifoot, Harrogate


Harrogate attended.  Cause defective equipment.

 Toc:  1504 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Cayton Low Road, Eastfield.

Scarborough Crew attended, cause of alarm system fault.

Toc:  1549 hours, Road Traffic Collision, Malton Road, Rillington

Malton Crew attended a Road Traffic Collision involving a large goods vehicle and a car.  One elderly male trapped in the car.  Crews used cutting equipment and stabilising equipment to release him.

Toc:  1659 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Church Wynd, Richmond

Richmond Crew attended.  Cause of alarm lack of maintenance.
