Incident Summary - Night Shift 20th March

21st March 2016

Summary of Incidents –   20th March, Night Shift

Toc:  1752 hours, Fire in Field in area of Northfield, Barlby, Selby

Selby Crews attended. Small Campfire left unattended, crews used bucket and spade to extinguish.

Toc:  1825 hours, Fire in Wasteland next to CPP, Holgate Park Drive, York

Acomb Crew attended.  Small area of gorseland on fire, crews used beaters to extinguish.  Cause believed to be deliberate.

Toc:  1859 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, Station Road, Pannal

Harrogate Crew attended.  Cause of alarm, cooking fumes.

Toc:  1904 hours, Fire in Area of The Old Cricket Ground, Romanby.

Northallerton Crew attended. Small fire in open crews using a scotty pack and 1 bucket of water to extinguish.

Toc:  1930 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Residential Premises, Hyde Park Road, Harrogate

Harrogate Crew attended.  Cause unknown as system had been reset prior to Fire Service attendance.

Toc:  2150 hours, Fire in Skatepark, Marine Drive, Scarborough.

Scarborough attended, Small rubbish fire was out on arrival, inspection only.

Toc:  2340 hours, Transit Van on Fire, A6108, Scotch Corner

Fire Crews from Richmond and Colburn attended.  One Mercedes Sprinter Van on fire, crews used 4 Breathing Apparatus, 2 Hose Reels, Hydraulic Cutting Equipment, Thermal Imaging Camera, Dry Powder extinguisher and small tools.  Van was 100% destroyed by fire.
