Incident Summary - Night Shift 21st March

Summary of Incidents –   21st  March, Night Shift

Toc:  1633 hours, Cherry Picker stuck in “Up” position with 3 persons in the cage approximately 18 metres up. Northallerton Town Football Club Grounds, Ainderby Road, Northallerton

Northallerton Crew and an Alp from Durham and Darlington Fire Service attended. This involved a cherry picker whose one of its pins had sheared off leaving the cage at a 45 degree angle.  Crews used aerial appliance from Darlington to rescue them.

Toc:  1801 hours, Smell of smoke in flat, Acomb Road, York

Acomb, York and Huntington Crews attended.  Cause of smoke, cooking fumes, no fire.

Toc:  1813 hours, Smoke Alarm Sounding, Barrowcliff Road, Scarborough. 

Scarborough Crew attended, cause of alarm cooking fumes.

Toc:  2014 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Retail Premises, James Street, Harrogate

Harrogate Crew attended. Cause of Alarm, System Fault.

Toc:  2224 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, Station Lane, Shipton by Beningbrough.

Acomb Crew attended. Cause of the alarm unknown due to access problems.

Toc:  2319 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Percys Lane, York.

York Crew attended.  Cause of alarm steam from a shower.

Toc:  2344 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Percys Lane, York

York Crew attended.  Cause of alarm steam from shower.

Toc:  2352 hours, Fire in Field, Area of A6055 Ferrensby.

Boroughbridge Crew attended.  This turned out to be Controlled Burning.

Toc:  0641 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Residential Premises, Staynor Hall, Abbots Road, Selby

Selby Crew attended.
