Incident Summary - Night Shift 4th March

Summary of Incidents – 4th March Night Shift

Toc:  1752 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Boroughbridge Road, Northallerton

Northallerton attended.  Cause of alarm Cooking fumes.

Toc:  1759 hours, Road Traffic Collision, Outside, Tempest Arms, Elslack, Skipton

Two appliances from Skipton attended a two vehicle road traffic collision involving a Jaguar car and a pick up truck, no persons trapped. Driver of Jaguar a male aged 49 suffering from lower leg pain and chest pains taken to Hospital by road ambulance.  Driver of pick up truck suffered from lacerations to his hand, he was treated at the scene by paramedics.  As a result of the road traffic collision the car suffered 100% fire damage and the truck 30% fire damage to the engine compartment and slight fire damage to the passenger compartment.  Crews used 2 Breathing Apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to deal with the fire.

Toc:  1924 hours, Car in Flood Water, Heslaker Lane, Skipton.

Skipton Crew attended1 female aged mid 50s stranded in car in approximately 2 feet of flood water, rescued by Crews using water rescue equipment.

Toc:  1941 hours, Fire in downstairs flat Skipton Road, Harrogate.

Harrogate Crews attended. Small fire in kitchen caused by tea towel left on cooker in a one bedroom flat.  100% fire damage to the tea towel and scorching to tiles behind cooker. 20% smoke damage to remainder of flat.  Smoke alarm had been removed.  Crews removed tea towel to outside and ventilated the property.

Toc:  2016 hours, Persons trapped in car, Hay a Park Area, Harrogate

Knaresborough Crew attended.  One car stuck in a field with a male and a pregnant female in it, due to being wrongly routed by a sat nav.  Crews used a winch to get car back on track.

Toc:  2259 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, East Parade, Harrogate

Harrogate Crew attended. Cause of Alarm cooking fumes.

Toc:  2321 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm.  College in Heslington Area, York

York Crew attended.  Cause of the alarm, mis-operation of call point.

Toc:  0107 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, The Grove, Skipton

Skipton Crew attended.  Cause Faulty Smoke Alarm
