Incident Summary Friday 10th November Day Shift

10th November 2017

Time  1206    Location: Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough attended a report of a small fire in the open. This was confirmed to be controlled burning. Crews gave advice to the caller.

Time 1310      Location: Leyburn

Crews responded to a report of a chimney on fire in the Leyburn area. The crew extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet, chimney kit and a thermal imaging camera.

Time 1430      Location: Malton

Crews responded to a call of a 6 month old kitten stuck approximately 10m up a tree in Malton. Crews rescued the kitten using a 9m ladder and left it in the care of its owner.

Time 1446      Location: York

A crew assisted an elderly man who had fallen in the street. The casualty was left in the hands of paramedics and taken to hospital via road ambulance.

Time 1452     Location: Whitby

A crew from Goathland and Whitby attended a report of a fire in the moorland around Goathland. This was confirmed to be controlled burning.

Time: 1657    Location: Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate is attending a report of bushes on fire in Harrogate. This incident is ongoing.

 

In addition to these incidents we also received a call into an area in Huntington. This was confirmed as a false alarm
