18th February 2016

Suicide Attempt – Whitcliffe Lane, Ripon

Time of call: 07:51

Suicidal Male up a tree and was convinced to come down by police, Fire service attended but were not required.

 

 

Smoke in commercial premises – York Road, Goldsborough

Time of call: 08:00

Fire crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate attended this incident; the cause was a fork lift on fire which was then removed to open air.

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Forest Lane, Starbeck

Time of call: 08:03

An appliance from Harrogate attended and confirmed this was a false alarm. 

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Filey Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 09:03

An appliance from Scarborough attended and confirmed this was a false alarm. 

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – York Road, Goldsborough

Time of call: 10:11

An appliance from Knaresborough and Harrogate attended and confirmed this was a false alarm. 

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Kings Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 10:26

An appliance from Harrogate attended and confirmed this was a false alarm. 

 

 

Road Traffic Collision – Leavening, Malton

Time of call: 11:04

Both appliance from Malton attended and successfully extricated a female who was trapped in the vehicle as I lay on its roof following a road traffic collision.  Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment, small tools, sharps kit and stabilisation blocks.

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Queen Anne’s Drive, Bedale

Time of call: 11:53

An appliance from Bedale attended and confirmed the activation was due to cooking fumes. 

 

 

Road Traffic Collision – Heworth Road, York

Time of call: 12:40

Appliances from Acomb and York attended a road traffic collision and extricated a female using hydraulic cutting equipment.

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Haxby Road, York

Time of call: 12:50

An appliance from Acomb attended and confirmed this was a false alarm. 

 

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Near Briggs Street, York

Time of call: 12:59

An appliance from Huntington attended and confirmed this was a false alarm. 

 

 

Smell of burning in flat – Longwestgate, Scarborough

Time of call: 13:32

Both appliances from Scarborough along with the aerial ladder platform attended and found a grill pan which had been left unattended.  The flat had minor smoke damage and the grill pan has been removed.

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Kings Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 13:54

An appliance from Harrogate attended and confirmed this was a false alarm.

 

 

Road traffic collision – A661, Spofforth

Time of call: 14:02

Both appliances from Harrogate and 1 appliance from Wetherby attended a 2 vehicle road traffic collision and

An appliance from York attended and confirmed this was a false alarm.
