A169 Near to Fox and Rabbit


Time of call: 07:50


Crews Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Malton were called to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision involving a car and a cattle truck. One female passenger was trapped in the car on arrival of crews. Crews performed roof removal in order to extricate female from vehicle to be assessed by paramedics. Female sustained serious head injuries and was transported to Hospital via road ambulance.

A crew from Harrogate were called to reports of a smoke alarm sounding in a residential property. On arrival crews discovered it was sounding due to dust from workmen in the property.


Durham Way, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate were called to the above address to reports of a disabled male who had fallen from wheelchair. Crews assisted with manpower to get male back in to his wheelchair.


Hunmanby Hall, Hunmanby, Filey


Time of call 11:05


Crews from Scarborough and Filey were called to reports of a washing machine fire in a kitchen. On arrival crews discovered the washing machine was not on fire but was smoking due to overheating. Crews gave advice to the occupier.


Queens Road, Richmond

Crews from Richmond were called to an 8 week old puppy called Evie who’s owners had locked their keys in the car along with Evie. Due to temperatures crews broke the small back window of the vehicle to reunite the puppy with her owner.


A19, Birdforth                      


Time of call 13:57


A crew from Thirsk were called to reports of a small fire on the grass verge just outside the village of Birdforth. Crews discovered the fire had been extinguished by a member of the public prior to their arrival. No action by fire service.




Skipwith Common Road, North Duffield


Time of call 14:52


Two crews from Selby attended a large fire in some woods involving trees and bushes. Crews used hose reels and beaters to extinguish. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.


Paragon Street, York


Time of call 15:57


Crews from York station were called to reports of a fire alarm sounding in a commercial property. Crews discovered on arrival the alarm system was sounding due to a power surge.


Albany Avenue, Harrogate


Time of call 16:00


Crews from Harrogate were called to a smoke alarm sounding in a domestic property at the above address. The alarm had been activated due to cooking fumes.


Barton Park, Barton


Time of call 16:39


A crew from Richmond were called to another dog which the owner had accidently locked in her car. Crews used small tools to break rear window and reunite dog with owner.


Steelmoor Lane, Barton Le Willows


Time of call 16:41


A crew from Huntington were called to reports of a small fire in a field near to the A64. Crews did not locate fire and believe this to of been a false alarm good intent
