Market Place, Middleham  Time of Call 05:59

Fire to a property that is believed to have begun from rubbish that has caught fire and then spread throughout a commercial premises. There are residential flats above the property, but these were unaffected and the occupants evacuated for safety. Crews from Leyburn, Masham, Richmond and Grassington attended to extinguish the fire. The crews used four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets. The building was then ventilated using a positive pressure ventilation fan.


Vangarde Way, Huntington  Time of Call 09:24

Crews from Huntington and York attended a property where a strong smell of burning was reported. Upon arrival of the crews there was no sign of fire. An investigation is currently sill in progress.

A64 Copmanthorpe to Bilborough  Time of Call 10:33

The driver of a Fiat Brava reported that their vehicle had smoke coming from the engine. Crews from Acomb, Huntington and Tadcaster attended the vehicle but discovered that the engine had a blown gasket causing the fumes. The crews made the vehicle safe before advising the driver to contact their recovery company.

Bleaberry Lane, Scrayingham  Time of Call 13:36

Crews from Malton and Huntington attended an empty horse box that was on fire. The crews found graffiti on the box and believed the cause of the fire to be deliberate. The crews were able to extinguish the fire using a hose reel jet and breathing apparatus. An investigation into the cause is currently in progress.

A19, Fulford  Time of Call 16:21

 A car had collided with a tree just off the roundabout of the A19 at Fulford. Ambulance crews requested the Fire Service attendance. A crew from York arrived and made the area safe.  The driver and passenger were out of the car with paramedics looking over them for minor injuries.
