Small kitchen fire – Fairfax Court, York.

Time of call 17:40

Fire crews from Acomb attended initial reports of an alarm activation at a flat and this turned out to be a burnt tea towel left ontop of a cooker hob by mistake. Fire was already out on arrival of crews.

Chimney Fire, Smithy Close, Thoralby, Leyburn.

Time of call: 19:59

Fire crews from Leyburn attended a chimney fire at a property on Smithy Close, caused by accumulation of soot. Crews used chimney rods and a thermal imagining camera.

 Fire to electrical substation – Nether Poppleton

Time of call: 20:48

Fire crews from Acomb attended a fire involving a gas cylinder next to an electrical substation. Youths were seen fleeing the scene by a witness. The fire was out on arrival of Fire Service and incident was left with the Police.

Hay bale stack fire – Westow, Malton

Time of call 23:05

Two fire crews from Malton attended approximately 60 bales well alight. The cause of fire is believed to be deliberate. Crews used one hose reel to put out the fire and stayed overnight tackling the blaze.

Automatic Fire Alarm –The Spa Complex, Scarborough

Time of call 03:10

Fire crews from Scarborough attended alarm activation at a property in the Spa Complex, this was caused by a fault in the system.
