Incident Summary Day Shift 12th August 2016

Bankhead Road, Northallerton

Time: 0811

Northallerton crew were called to persons trapped in the lift of a sheltered housing scheme. They found that all persons were out of the lift upon arrival.

Askham Lane, York

Time: 0824

Acomb crew attended a report of an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Brandsby Bank, Brandsby

Time: 0836

Easingwold crew were called to a fire in the open. They found that this was a false alarm and was deemed controlled burning under supervision.

Burton Stone Lane, York

Time: 0845

Crews from York, Huntington, and Acomb responded to reports of a smell of burning from a 3 storey building. Crews found that this was a false alarm due to smoke boms being used to eradicate fleas.

East Parade, Harrogate

Time: 1026

Crews from Harrogate responded to an automatic fire alarm activation with no response from the elderly resident. Crews found that there was no sign of fire alarm actuation so deemed this to be a false alarm.

Cross Street, Settle

Time: 1107

Settle crew responded to an RTC together with a Kirkby Lonsdale appliance. This involved 1 vehicle with one male casualty trapped. Crews extricated the male using hydraulic cutting equipment. He was transported to hospital via road ambulance with neck and back injuries.

Neville Crescent, Gargrave

Time: 1335

Crews from Skipton responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

A59, Allerton Park

Time: 1351

Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate attended an RTC involving 3 vehicles. The driver of one of the vehicles was out of the vehicle upon arrival however 2 passengers were assisted from vehicles by ambulance personnel. Fire crews assisted with scene safety and stabilised one of the vehicles for ambulance crews.

Carleton Road, Skipton

Time: 1402

Crews from Skipton responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

North Bay, Scarborough

Time: 1621

Crews from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire in the open. They found that this was a grass fire measuring 15m x 10m. Crews extinguished using 1 hose reel and beaters.
