North Yorkshire fire and rescue service have set up bronze command hubs in strategic locations and have been operating as part of a multi-agency response to the tidal surge affecting the east coast.

Heslington road, York 0811

York crew attended an automatic fire alarm. They found that it was a false alarm due to an overheated boiler.

St Helens square, Scarborough 0841

Scarborough crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to a system fault.

 Sneck Yate Bank, Boltby 0910

Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. The driver had lost control of the vehicle on ice and left the road, going down and embankment and overturning in a wooded area. Male driver aged was out of the vehicle when crews arrived. A female passenger was trapped inside. Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release her and she was transported to hospital via air ambulance with minor injuries.

Wigginton road, York 1116

York crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that it was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Low Hall Lane, Colburn  1119

Richmond and Colburn crews attended a fire at a property in Colburn. The fire started in a sanitising machine caused by an electrical fault. the fire was out on arrival and was inspection only.

Carmelite street, York 1215

Crews from York attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a small fire which had started in a grill pan. The fire was out on arrival.

 St Peter Street, Norton 1614

Malton crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that is was false alarm due to a fault on the system.
