Road Traffic Collision – Craven Street, Skipton

Time of call: 09:07

Both Skipton appliances attended this incident, there were no persons trapped and crews made the scene safe.

Tree Fire – Thirlby Village, Thirsk

Time of call: 09:30

A crew from Northallerton attended and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.

Fire in the open – New Road, Richmond

Time of call: 10:29

A crew from Richmond attended but this turned out to be a false alarm.

Dog Rescue – Cycle Path, Bishopthorpe

Time of call: 11:49

An appliance from York rescued a dog which was stranded in the middle of a large puddle.

Fire in pig shed – A59 near Moor Monkton **Make pumps 6**

Time of call: 14:01

Appliances from Acomb and York attended and discovered some straw bales on fire in a pig shed and made up for a further 4 appliances and the water bowser from Boroughbridge.  A further four appliances from Knaresborough, Harrogate and two from Huntington attended.  Crews had a total 2 main jets and 2 hose reel jets in use tackling the fire before they managed to extinguish.  One fire crews currently remain on scene damping down and turning over. 

Smoke inside filling station – Great North Road, Middleton Tyas

Time of call: 14:59

Appliances from Richmond and Colburn attended and confirmed there was no fire; the smoke was due to a faulty hand dryer.
