Incident Summary - Day Shift

At 0742 hours Scarborough Fire Crews were called to a fire in a bedroom in a property in the Dale Edge area of Eastfield. The fire caused 100% fire, heat and smoke damage to the bedroom, 100% smoke damage to the first floor and 60% smoke and water damage to the ground floor.  Fire crews used 2 hose reels and 4 breathing apparatus.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

At 1309 house Scarborough Fire Crews removed loose masonry from a property on Marlborough Street using the aerial appliance.

At 1357 hours Tadcaster Fire Crews attended a fire in a frying pan causing 5% fire damage, 20% heat damage and 75% smoke damage to the kitchen and 10% smoke damage to the remainder of the property.  Smoke alarms were fitted and did actuate.  The occupants used water prior to the Fire Service arrival.  The occupant was given a precautionary check up by the paramedics.  The cause of the fire was believed to be cooking left unattended. Fire Crews used positive pressure ventilation fan, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera to deal with the fire.

At 1406 hours Harrogate Fire Crews were called to a fire involving a tumble drier in the Dixon Terrace area of Harrogate.  The fire spread to a window, skirting board and clothing.  Smoke alarms were fitted and raised the alarm.  Fire crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel to deal with fire.  The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical fault.
