Incident Summary Day Shift 15th July

15th July 2017

Dobson Bank, Summerbridge

TOC: 11:02

Crew from Summerbridge attended an incident where 5 x 10 litre pots of water based emulsion paint were spilt on the road. The crew prevented the paint from entering the drains and a local farmer kindly gave permission for the crews to swill the paint onto his track. Crew used 1 hose reel, spades and small tools to deal with the incident.

A1237, Wigginton Road

TOC: 12:25

Incident involved a 2 vehicle road traffic collision where 1 vehicle had overturned. All persons were out of the vehicles upon fire service arrival as we were requested for scene safety. 2 casualties were transported to hospital via road ambulance. Our crew from Huntington assisted police and Ambulance by making the vehicle safe and sweeping the roadway.

Leeds Road, Harrogate

A Harrogate crew attended an automatic fire alarm at a residential building and after investigation found it to be due to cooking fumes.

Wigginton Road, York

TOC: 16:25

 A crew from York attended a commercial premises to investigate an automatic fire alarm activation. This was found to be caused by a fault on the system.

West Way, Crayke.


Crews from Acomb and Helmsley have attended a property with reports of a chimney fire. Crews still investigating incident.
