Incident Summary – Day Shift 18th May

At 0803 hours Northallerton Crews attended reports of a car upside down in a field. The incident was a result of a road traffic collision which had happened earlier that morning, fortunately no persons were trapped. No action by Fire Service.

At 1056 Hours, York Crews assisted Ambulance Crew by gaining access to a property on Sim Balk Lane in York where an elderly lady had fallen.  Crews used small tools.

At 1126 Hours, Colburn and Leyburn Crews dealt with an extractor fan on fire on Gallowfields Trading Estate in Richmond.  The cause of the fire is believed to be an accumulation of flammable material/dust in the fan.  Crews used 1 hose reel jet a thermal imaging camera and ventilated the property.

At 1146 Hours, Wheelie Bin Fire, Applecroft Road, York, York Crews attended.  The  wheelie bin fire had spread to a facia board on a garage causing slight heat damage.  The wheelie bin was 100% destroyed by fire.

At 1618 Hours, Main Road, Weaverthorpe smoke in area.  Sherburn Crew attended, large amount of general waste on fire measuring approximately 5 square metres. Crews using 1 hose reel jet.

At 1626 Hours, Trafalgar Street, York one year old female infant  locked in a car.  York Crew attended and released her using small tools.

At 1627 Hours, Bin Fire outside Halifax Bank, Oxford Street, Harrogate Crew attended, cause of the fire dropped light, crews used 1 hose reel.
