Incident Summary Day Shift 24th December

24th December 2016

Crews from Northallerton responded to a call from the police reporting something hanging from the roof of a property on the high street posing a danger to the public. They found that there was a piece of metal approx 6 feet up, overhanging the public footpath. They used a triple extension ladder to remove the metal object and make safe.

Harrogate and Knaresborough crews were sent to reports of a property fire. A passer by had seen smoke coming from a building, could smell smoke and could not get an answer from the front door. Crews gained access using a door breaker and carried out a full search of the property. There were no persons inside the property. Crews extinguished using 1 hose reel jet and ventilated the property. The cause was pans left on the hob.
