Fire – Usher Pak Road, Haxby, York

Time: 0846

Crews from Huntington were called to an automatic fire alarm activation with no response from the elderly occupier with dementia. They found that the occupier had left a pan unattended and the kitchen was smoke logged. Crews removed the pan and ventilated the property. They also liaised with family and neighbours before isolating the cooker for safety purposes.

 

Fire – Crown Place, Harrogate

Time: 1053

Crews from Harrogate attended an electrical fire in a property on Crown Place in Harrogate. They found that there was a fire in an electrical unit. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to investigate. The cause is believed to be a loose wire connection. Crews extinguished using CO2 extinguisher.

 

False Alarm – Boundary Avenue, Skipton

Time: 1105

A crew from Skipton attended an automatic fire alarm activation on Boundary Avenue in Skipton. They found that this was a false alarm due to workmen creating dust.

 

Rescue Non-Emergency – Chancery Court, York

Time: 1150

A crew from Acomb rescued an elderly female who was trapped in a bath using manpower.

 

False Alarm – Wellington Street, Skipton

Time: 1246

Crews from Skipton responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that it was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

Car Fire – Trenholme Bar, Northallerton

Time: 1332

A crew from Northallerton responded to a call where there was smoke coming from a car. They found that this was a false alarm due to steam from the radiator.

 

Fire in Open – Hull Road, Hemingbrough

Time: 1358

A crew from Selby have attended reports of a fire in the open on Hull Road in Hemingbrough following a call from the Police. They found this to be a false alarm due to a flare being used.

 

False Alarm – Upgang Lane, Whitby

Time: 1547

Whitby crew responded to reports of a repeated automatic fire alarm activation from a commercial property on Upgang Lane. They were unable to gain access to the fire panel but carried out a full investigation of 6 flats. Incident believed to be due to faulty equipment.
