Incident Summary –  Day Shift 27th July

Toc:  0807 Hours – Van on Fire, A64 EBC, Bishopthorpe to Fulford A19.  Crews from Acomb and York attended.  This was a split water pipe no fire found.  No action by Fire Service.

Toc:  0904 Hours - Logs on fire in open.  Acomb crew attended.  Cause deliberate crews used wildfire packs.

Toc:  1225 Hours – Approximately 6 Cows stuck in river.  Selby crew attended.  Cows appeared not to be in distress. No action by Fire Service.

Toc:  1353 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Ravensworth, Richmond Crew attended. Cause of alarm dust from workmen.

Toc:  1400 Hours – Lady and baby trapped in lift.  Acomb Crew attended.  Prior to Fire Service arrival staff had tried to use the lift keys and metal levers which had twisted the mechanism. Crews had to use small tools and hydraulic spreaders to gain access to lift shaft.

Toc:  1625 Hours – Fuel spillage on Station Forecourt.  Boroughbridge Crew attended.  Crews used drizzit pads and dammit paste to stem the leak.

Toc:  1641 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, Askham Lane, Acomb.  Acomb Crew attended.
