Incident Summary – Day Shift 5th May

0932 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, Clifford Street, York.  York Crew attended, cause of Alarm Engineer testing.

0954 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Residential Premises, Wilkinson Way, Strensall.  Huntington Crew Attended.  Cause of Alarm faulty detector.

1042 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm Residential Premises, Woodlands Drive, Skipton.  Skipton Crew Attended.

1115 Hours – Road Traffic Collision, A64 EBC.  Malton and Pickering Crews attended. 1 Male aged mid 20’s trapped under vehicle. Crews used air bags, cutting equipment to release him.  He was then taken to Hospital by air ambulance suffering from lower spinal, pelvic and internal injuries.

1207 Hours – Malton Crew attended fuel spillage at a Commercial Premises in Malton.  Crews used clear pads to absorb the fuel.

1215 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Bank, Westborough, Scarborough.  Cause of Alarm fault on system.

1318 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Residential Premises, Boundary Avenue, Skipton.  Cause dust from workmen.

1326 Hours – Road Traffic Collision single vehicle into a tree, Newsham Road, Thirsk.  Two persons trapped.

1340 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Charlton Drive, Knaresborough.  Cause dust in detector head.

1452 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Residential Premises, Wigginton Road, York.  Cause accidental activation of break glass point.

1517 Hours – Van Fire, Raskelf.  Easingwold Crew attended. 1 hose reel used,

1551 Hours – Muck Heap on Fire, Breckonbrough.  Crews using 2 water bowsers and tractor from the farm and two hose reel jets.

1553 Hours – Kitchen Fire, Scarborough Road, Filey.  50% fire damage to the kitchen and 100% smoke damage to the kitchen. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel and thermal imaging camera. Accidental turning on of hob.

1559 Hours – 2 Persons stuck in lift, persons released prior to Fire Service arrival, no action by Fire Service.

1612 Hours – Single Vehicle on its Roof, A19 near Shires Bridge Industrial Estate.  No casualties in vehicle.  Crews made vehicle safe.
