Incident Summary Day Shift 6th April

Round up of incidents for Day Shift Wednesday 6th April

Person Collapsed – Castle Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 0850 hours

Crews from Scarborough responded when a female in her 50’s fell on Station road and injured her face. They administered first aid until the ambulance crew arrived.

Kitchen Fire – Cornlands Road, York

Time of call: 0919 hours

Crews from Acomb responded to reports of a kitchen fire. They found that the fire was out on arrival and had involved a grill pan.

False Alarm – Raines Road, Giggleswick

Time of call: 1045

Crews from Settle attended an automatic fire alarm activation on Raines Road. This was a false alarm due to testing.

False Alarm – Lancaster Park Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1047

Harrogate crews attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found this to be a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.

RTC – Malton Road, York

Time of call: 1200

Crews from Huntington and York attended a report of a road traffic collision between a HGV and a van. They found that the female driver of the van was trapped inside the vehicle. Crews released the female using hydraulic cutting equipment, she was then transported to hospital.

Fuel Leak – Flowergate, Whitby

Time of call: 1311

Crews from Whitby attended reports of a fuel leak from a ruptured fuel tank on a motorbike. They found that this was a small oil leak. Crews applied an absorbent agent and passed to Highways Agency.

Motorhome Fire – Reighton, Filey

Time of call: 1332

Crews from Filey and Scarborough attended reports of a motorhome on fire. They found that this was caused by an electrical fault and radiated heat had spread to the next caravan and also set fire to a car. The fire was extinguished. The motorhome was completely destroyed by the fire. There was fire damage to the car engine as well as smoke and heat damage to the rest of the vehicle and heat damage to the side of the caravan next door.

Child Locked in Car – Malton Road, York

Time of call: 1535

Huntington crews released a child aged approx 2 years from a vehicle after they had been accidentally locked inside.
