Incident Summary – Day Shift 6th June

Toc:  1157 hours – Scrap Car on Fire, Hornby Road, Appleton Wiske.  Northallerton Crew attended.  100% fire damage to the car, cause of fire sparks from angle grinder.  Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels to deal with the fire.

Toc:  1337 hours – Kingsway North, Acomb.  Shed fire measuring 3 metres x 3 metres.  80% fire damage to shed and contents. Crews used 1 hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera. Cause believed to be electrical.

Toc:  1547 hours – A19 SBC South Kilvington to Thirsk (A168) Mazda Car on Fire.  50% fire damage to front end, engine compartment and dashboard. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel.  Cause believed to be overheating/mechanical.
