Round up of incidents – Day Shift Friday 29th April

 Acomb Fire Station, Boroughbridge Road, Acomb

Fire crews from Acomb assisted a male who attended the fire station with a ring stuck on his finger. The ring was removed from the male’s finger by using ring cutters. No further action was required.

 Albion Road, Scarborough

Fire crews from Scarborough attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at a domestic property. Crews investigated the alarm and discovered there was a fault on the alarm system. No further action required, advice given to occupants.

 Cornlands Road, York

Fire crews from Acomb attended reports of fires in the open to rear of Cornlands Road. Crews attended and located a small fire in the open. The fire was extinguished using 1 hose reel.

 Oxford Street, Harrogate

Fire crew from Harrogate attended reports of an automatic fire alarm at commercial premises. When crews arrived on scene they investigated the alarm and confirmed there to be no fire. Further investigation confirmed there was a fault on the system. Advice given to premises and engineers to be contacted.

 Parliament Street, York

Fire crews from York attended reports of a bin fire on Parliament Street. Upon crews arrival, they extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel. Fire is believed to have started due to a dropped light in the bin.
