False alarm – Kirkgate, Thirsk

Time of call: 0659 hours

A crew from Thirsk had responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Fire – Fryors Close, Murton

Time of call: 0905 hours

Crews from York and Acomb have been called to a fire in an auto workshop. This caused fire damage to an oily rag and heat and smoke damage to the workshop ceiling/roof. The cause is believed to be self combustion of an oily rag. Crews have used 1 hosereel, thermal imaging camera, forcible entry tools and a positive pressure ventilation fan.

False alarm – Marton Road, Gargrave

Time of call: 1018 hours

A crew from Skipton has responded to reports of a fire in a timber yard. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

Road traffic collision – A1 sliproad onto A64 at Bramham Crossroads

Time of call: 1223 hours

A crew from Tadcaster has been called to reports of a 4 vehicle road traffic collision. This was a minor accident. No persons were trapped in the vehicles or injured. An appliance from Wetherby made the scene safe. No action taken by Tadcaster crew.

False alarm – Station Road, Thirsk

Time of call: 1322 hours

A crew from Thirsk has been called to reports of a car fire near the racecourse. This was a false alarm as no incident could be located.

False alarm – St Leonards Place, York

Time of call: 1334 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation at a property under renovation. This was a false alarm due to fumes from workmen.

Road traffic collision – A170, Sutton Bank

Time of call: 1403 hours

Crews from Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside have been called to a 2 vehicle road traffic collision involving a Seat Leon and a BMW 3 Series. 3 occupants (1 male, 1 female and child) of BMW were out of the vehicle on arrival of the crews. They have been taken to hospital by road ambulance. 1 male in Seat was assisted from vehicle by paramedics and taken to hospital by road ambulance with chest pains. 1 female in Seat was trapped. She was extricated by fire crews using hydraulic cutting equipment and taken to hospital by air ambulance suffering leg and chest injuries.

False alarm – Bootham, York

Time of call: 1403 hours

A crew from York has been called to reports of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm due to no incident being located.

Chimney fire – Front Street, Appleton Wiske

Time of call: 1418 hours

A crew from Northallerton has dealt with a chimney fire in a domestic property. The cause is believed to be accumulation of soot and they used 1 hosereel, chimney rods, thermal imaging camera and hearth kit.

False alarm – St Leonards Place, York

Time of call: 1431 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation at a property under renovation. This was a false alarm due to fumes from workmen.

False alarm – Everley, Hackness, Scarborough

Time of call: 1519 hours

A crew from Scarborough has been called to reports of a fire in woodland. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning.

False alarm – Gillings Court, Thirsk

Time of call: 1541 hours

A crew from Thirsk has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Small fire – Bull Lane, York

Time of call: 1639 hours

A crew from York has been called to a rubbish fire in the open on St Nicholas field. The cause was deliberate and it was stamped out.
