Road traffic collision – The Stray, Castle Howard

Time of call: 0925 hours

2 crews from Malton have released a male driver from a Rover 45 car following a single vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted paramedics to transfer casualty to the ambulance and he has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg. Crew also made the vehicle safe using hand tools.

False alarm – The Shambles, York

Time of call: 1049 hours

Crews from Acomb and York have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to steam from a dishwasher.

False alarm – Market Place, Ripon

Time of call: 1116 hours

2 crews from Ripon have responded to a smoke alarm activation in residential accommodation above a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty smoke detector.

False alarm – Darlington Road, Northallerton

Time of call: 1534 hours

2 crews from Northallerton have been called to reports of smoke inside a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to fumes from a faulty heating system.

Road traffic collision – Ray Lane, Bridge Hewick

Time of call: 1605 hours

2 crews from Ripon have been called to a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. The crews assisted the occupants from the vehicles however no one was trapped or injured.
