Incident Summary – Day Shift 13th June

Pinewood Drive, Scarborough

Fire crews from Scarborough attended residential premises where 2 residents were stuck in the lift. The fire crew used lift keys and manpower to release the males, who were both unharmed by their ordeal. Engineers called to site for lift maintenance.

A169, Low Marishes

Fire crews from Malton and Pickering attended reports of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision on the A169. When crews arrived, they worked alongside Police and Paramedics to release one male and assist with care of further casualty.

Fire crews used cutting gear and manpower at incident.  Male was released and handed to care of paramedics; he was then transported to hospital.

Applegarth Court, Northallerton

Fire crews from Northallerton responded to reports of a smoke alarm sounding at Applegarth Court. When crews arrived they established there was no fire. The alarm is believed to have activated due to a faulty detector head. Advice given to occupant.

Willow Drive, Aiskew

Fire crews from Bedale and Northallerton attended reports of a smoke alarm activation at a domestic premises on Willow Drive. When crews arrived, they investigated the cause of the alarm. Crews confirmed there was no fire; the cause is believed to be a defective smoke alarm.

Nunnery Lane, York

Fire crews from York attended a premises down Nunnery Lane with a fridge leaking.

When crews arrived they isolated the refrigerant gas leak and ventilated the property. Advice given to responsible person on site.
