Incident Summary Day Shift 13th August 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

A1 S J57 – A66 J56 Burton Time of call: 07:06

Crews from Darlington and Richmond were called to a trailer on fire. This caused fire damage caused by an overheated brake. Crews used a hose reel jet and shovels to extinguish this.

Haxby Road, York Time of call: 09:59

A crew from Huntington were called to smoke sighted in the open. This was a fire under supervision and no assistance was needed from Fire Service.

Highwood Brough, Scarborough Time of call: 13:57

Crews from Scarborough, Malton and Pickering were called to a fire in the open. This was a fire to undergrowth and forest measuring approximately 20 square metres. Crews used a 45mm hose to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately.

A172 near to Ingleby Arncliffe Time of call: 15:02

A crew from Northallerton were called to smoke sighted from a passer-by. This was a false alarm and was controlled burning.

Front Street, York. Time of call 15:53

Crews attended reports of flooing into a property, caused by blocked drains. Crews unblocked the drain using small tools.

We also attended to automatic fire alarm activations in Harrogate and Husthwaite. These were false alarms.
