Incident Summary Day Shift Monday 22nd October 2018

21st October 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Gargrave Road, Skipton

Time of call: 07:12

Two crews from Skipton and an officer were called to a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted with extricating one male from a vehicle using cutting equipment, blocks and chocks airbag protection and small tools. The male was taken to hospital via road ambulance.

Coach Street, Skipton

Time of call: 08:33

Crews from Skipton were called to a report of a vehicle that had fallen 10ft into a stream. The crews used a ladder to make access to the vehicle and after inspection it was found there were no persons trapped in the vehicle.

Near to Junction 53, A1

Time of call: 13:34

A crew from Richmond were called to a vehicle on fire. Crews extinguished this using a hose reel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus for comfort.


Time of call: 16:28

A crew from Northallerton were called to a fire in the open. They extinguished this using a hose reel.

We also attended fire alarm activations in Leeming, Scarborough, Huby, Tockwith and Filey. These were all false alarms.
