False alarm – Snaygill Industrial Estate, Skipton

Time of call: 0757 hours

A crew from Skipton has responded to a smoke alarm activation in an industrial unit. This was a false alarm due to accidental activation of a break glass point.

Rubbish fire – Friary Gardens, Richmond

Time of call: 1522 hours

A crew from Richmond has dealt with a small rubbish fire in a brick built park shelter. Damage to the rubbish only. Cause unknown. Crew used 1 hose reel.

False alarm – Station Road, Ganton

Time of call: 1603 hours

A crew from Scarborough has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

False alarm – Coney Street, York

Time of call: 1620 hours

A crew from York has been called to reports of a smell of smoke in a 4 storey commercial property. This was a false alarm due to acrid fumes from dust blocking a doorway heater.
