10:37 Birch Avenue, Sleights

Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay attended reports of a Chimney Fire. No fire was located at the address, crews used a Thermal Imaging Camera to investigate and gave advice to occupant

10:42 A19 Near Borrowby

Northallerton and Thirsk crews responded to reports of a possible car fire, crews attended and found that this was a false alarm, due to fumes from a tyre blow out being mistaken for smoke.

11:08 Carla Beck, Carleton

Skipton crews assisted paramedics in releasing 1 male casualty from vehicle involved in a road traffic collision. Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release casualty who was left in the hands of paramedics

12:02 Hempland Lane, York

York crews attended reports of a Fire Alarm sounding. On arrival crews located a small fire to a microwave which was out on arrival. Crews removed the microwave to open air and ventilated the property

15:44 Spa Gardens, Ripon

Crews attended reports of smoke issuing from the Band Stand. On arrival crews found no fire, smoke sighting is believed to have been caused by youths vaping.
