False alarm – High Street, Knaresborough

Time of call: 0717 hours

A crew from Knaresborough has responded to a smoke alarm in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.

 

False alarm – Dundas Street, York

Time of call: 0754 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

 

Bin fire – Lawrence Street, York

Time of call: 1038 hours

A crew from York has dealt with a bin fire behind a commercial property. The cause is believed to be accidental and 1 hosereel was used to extinguish.

 

False alarm – Howe Road, Norton

Time of call: 1112 hours

A crew from Malton has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown fault.

 

Garden fire – Wetherby Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1136 hours

2 crews from Harrogate have been called to a large fire in the garden of a domestic property which spread to some boundary trees. The crews used 2 hosereels and 2 jets via a hydrant and a thermal imaging camera. The cause is believed to have spread from a bonfire.

 

False alarm – St Leonards Place, York

Time of call: 1334 hours

A crew from Acomb has been called to reports of a bin fire. No incident could be located and it is believed the Council may have emptied the bin prior to our arrival.

 

Malicious call – Outgang Lane, York

Time of call: 1349 hours

A crew from York has investigated reports of a fire in the open. No fire could be located and this is believed to be a malicious call.

 

Property fire – High Street, Carlton, Selby

Time of call: 1525 hours

A crew from Selby has been called to a fire in the extraction and ducting system in a commercial property. Damage was limited to the extraction system only. The cause is believed to be a build up of grease and crew used 1 hosereel, small tools and a thermal imaging camera.

 

False alarm – A1 near Barton

Time of call: 1546 hours

Crews from Richmond and Colburn have been called to reports of a fire in the open near the A1. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning by the land owner.

 

False alarm – Bramham Drive, Harrogate

Time of call: 1615 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to the occupier mistaking a discarded alarm clock in a rubbish sack for a smoke alarm.

 

Small fire – Grove Road, Walden Stubbs

Time of call: 1645 hours

Crews from Selby and Askern have attended a fire in the open involving a pile of logs. The fire was a bonfire by the land owner which had gone out of control. 1 hosereel used to extinguish.
