Incident Summary Day Shift Saturday 15th September 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Ingham Close, Sleights, Whitby

Time of call 07:10 

Crews from Goathland, Lythe and Whitby were called to a fire alarm sounding in a residential property with no response from the occupants. This was a false alarm and no action was taken.

 

Main Street, Scarborough

Time of call: 08:04

A call was received to make us aware of a smell of petrol in the area. After inspection from an officer and crews from Scarborough and Malton and the use of a gas detector. It was believed to be a smell coming from an agricultural product.

 

Lower Greenfoot, Settle

Time of call:08:11

A crew from Settle were called to assist two people trapped in a lift car. The crews use small tools to free the people from the lift.

Raines Road, Giggleswick
Time of call:12:02

A crew from Bentham were called to a tree on fire in the garden of a residential property. This was controlled burning that had spread. The crew used a hose reel jet to extinguish this.

West Avenue, Filey

Time of call:14:16

A crew from Filey were called to a campfire that was out of control. The crews used a hose reel to extinguish this.
