Incident Summary – Day Shift Saturday 22nd September

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

Rescue – Middleton Tyas

Time of call: 1044 hours

A crew from Richmond has been called to reports of teenage girl trapped with her leg under a tractor bucket. On our arrival the female has been released. Crew assisted the paramedic with casualty care until arrival of an ambulance. Female taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle.

 

False alarm – Percy’s Lane, York

Time of call: 1305 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential building. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes from a pan of sausages. Crew used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the haze.

 

False alarm – Sutton In Craven

Time of call: 1439 hours

A crew from Skipton has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an aerosol spray.

 

Rubbish fire – York Road, Malton

Time of call; 1608 hours

A crew from Malton has dealt with a small rubbish fire in the open.  The cause was unknown and crew used 1 hosereel to extinguish.
