Incident Summary Day Shift Saturday 28th July 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

We also attended a number of fire alarm activations during the shift which turned out to be a false alarms.

Tree Smouldering after lightening strike.  Wombleton Area, Kirkbymoorside

Time of call: 08:17

An appliance from Kirkbymoorside attended this incident and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.

Flooding in open.  Kirkbymoorside

Time of call: 10:12

An appliance from Kirkbymoorside attended this incident and attempted to unblock a drain after it had become blocked with debris following recent downpour, local council were contacted to arrange sandbags.

Spaniel stuck down sink hole.  Hawnby area, North York Moors

Time of call: 12:07

Fire crews from Kirkbymoorside and Malton attended this incident and rescued a spaniel who had fallen down a 10ft deep sink hole.
