Tractor fire – Danby Lane, Danby Wiske

Time of call: 1156 hours

A crew from Northallerton has dealt with a tractor on fire in the open. 50% fire damage was caused to the vehicle. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault and the crew used 1 hosereel and 2 breathing apparatus.

Car fire – A66, near West Layton

Time of call: 1431 hours

Crews from Richmond and Colburn have been called to a car fire. The incident involved a small fire in the engine compartment of a Ford Mondeo towing a caravan. Very slight fire damage was caused to the engine compartment only. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault and the crews have used 1 hosereel.

False alarm – Rombalds Drive, Skipton

Time of call: 1514 hours

A crew from Skipton has responded to a smoke alarm activation at a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm – Ascot Way, York

Time of call: 1521 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.
