Incident Summary Day Shift Saturday 8th December 2018

8th December 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Stockton Lane, York Time of call: 07:57

An Officer was called to a burst water main with water that a resident felt was in danger of entering their property. The water authority were able to stem the flow and no action was taken by the Fire Service.

Pasture Lane, York Time of call: 08:30

Crews from York, Huntington and an Officer were called to a caravan on fire that had spread to an adjacent car. The crews used 2 breathing apparatus 1 hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish this.

 Holgate Road, York Time of call: 09:47

A crew from Acomb were called to an automatic fire alarm activation. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

Harmby Road, Leyburn Time of call: 10:16

A crew from Leyburn were called to an automatic fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm caused by an aerosol in use near to a detector.


A64, Crambeck Bridge Time of call: 14:03

A crew from Malton were called to a report of a car on fire. This was a small fire to the engine compartment that was out on the arrival of the Fire Service. Crews ensured this was fully extinguished using a hose reel
