Flooding – Windsor Garth, York

Time of call: 0707 hours

A crew from Acomb has been called to flooding in a residential property caused by a burst hot water pipe. Small tools were used to isolate the water and advice given.

False alarm – Ashlands Close, Northallerton

Time of call: 0740 hours

A crew from Northallerton has responded to an alarm activation in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to a flat battery in a carbon monoxide detector.

False alarm – Ascot Way, York

Time of call: 0746 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to steam from cooking.

False alarm – Market Place, Easingwold

Time of call: 0754 hours

A crew from Easingwold has been called to reports of smoke coming from a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to steam from a boiler.

Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate have been called to a gas cylinder venting off in a public garden. This was a carbon dioxide cylinder which had been removed from a nearby public house. Crews isolated the cylinder valve and returned the cylinder to the pub.

Time of call: 1552 hours

**Ongoing Incident**

A crew from Harrogate has been called to reports of smoke and sparks coming from an electrical cable on a property under renovation. Crews are currently standing by until the arrival of Northern Power Grid engineers who will be able to make the cable safe.
