Incident Summary – Day Shift Sunday 14TH May

 

Water leak – Eboracum Way, York

Time of call: 0759 hours

A crew from York has been sent to reports of flooding inside a residential block of flats. This was flooding on 3 floors due to a mains water supply issue. Water supply to the whole building isolated and advice given to the residents.

 

False alarm – Bondgate, Ripon

Time of call: 1214 hours

A crew from Ripon as responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

Road traffic collision – Sleights Lane,  Rainton

Time of call: 1250 hours

2 crews from Ripon have been called to a road traffic collision involving a vehicle which had collided with the side of a building. 1 male was out of the vehicle on our arrival. 1 female was trapped in the vehicle. She was released by fire crews. Both were taken to hospital for a precautionary check up. Crews used cutting equipment.

 

Road traffic collision – A59, Halton

Time of call: 1508 hours

A crew from Skipton have been called to a vehicle leaking fuel following a minor road traffic collision. This was a false alarm due to a water leak and dust from the airbags. No action was taken by our crew.

 

Rubbish fire – Granville Street, Skipton

Time of call: 1537 hours

A crew from Skipton has dealt with a rubbish fire in the open. The cause was controlled burning left unattended and the crew used a bucket of water.
