Incident Summary Day Shift Sunday 19th August 2018

19th August 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

We also attended a number of fire alarm activations during the shift which turned out to be a false alarms.

Fire in commercial premises – Seamer Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 12:09

Scarborough appliances attended this incident which involved a fire within an extractor fan.  The fire was out on arrival of the fire service and crews isolated the appliance and inspected the property for fire damage and fire spread.

Fire in residential property – Clementhorpe, York

Time of call: 14:10

Appliances from York and Acomb attended this incident which involved some burnt food in a pan, the fire was out on arrival and crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the fumes from the property.

Fire in woodland – Crambe, Malton

Time of call: 15:35

Appliances from Huntington and Malton attended this incident and extinguished a controlled burn which had got out of control.
