Round up of incidents for Day Shift Sunday 3rd April

Fire in Open – Park Road, Norton, Malton

Time of call: 0745 hours

Crews from Malton were called to a large fire in the open. Upon arriving they found a rubbish fire measuring approx 10m x 10m. Crews supervised the fire until it was safe and returned later in the afternoon for a revisit to ensure it had completely extinguished.

Shed Fire – De Bruce Road, Brompton

Time of call: 0840 hours

Crews from Northallerton attended a call to a shed fire. They found that the shed fire was due to an electrical fault and caused 50% fire damage and 1005 smoke damage to shed.

False Alarm – Main Street, Gilling East

Time of call: 1329 hours

Crews from Easingwold and Malton attended a report of a fire in an electrical fuse box. They found that this was a false alarm due to an overheated fuse box.

Boat Fire – Golden Ball Slipway, Sandside, Scarborough

Time of call: 1538 hours

Crews from Scarborough attended a report of a boat fire. They found that this had been extinguished with a dry powder extinguisher prior to fire service arrival and carried out an inspection.

False Alarm – Fearby Road, Masham

Time of call: 1609 hours

Crews from Bedale attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to a spider in the detector.
