Gas Cylinder Leaking – Kirkby Avenue, Selby

Appliances from Selby attended and isolated the cylinder which has been leaking


Large Gas Tank leaking – Elvington, York

Time of call: 10:47

Appliances from Tadcaster, York, Acomb and Huntington attended this incident, a crew wearing breathing apparatus were committed into the risk area and isolated the gas tank and made the scene safe.


Fire in the open – Northfield Close, Womersley

Time of call: 11:15

An appliance from Selby attended and confirmed this was a false alarm.


Lift Rescue – Bishopthorpe Road, York

Time of call: 12:20

An appliance from York attended this incident but the occupant stuck in lift was already out on arrival of the fire service.


Vehicle fire – Terry Avenue, York

Time of call: 13:56

An appliance from York attended this incident and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.


Automatic Fire Alarm – Derwent Drive, Selby

An appliance from Selby attended this incident and confirmed this was a false alarm.

Dog Rescue from Mud – Cawood, Selby

Both appliances from Selby attended this incident and rescued a female who had got stuck in the mud after rescuing her dog which was previously stuck in the mud.


Road Traffic Collision – Station Road, Horton in Ribblesdale

Appliances from Settle and Bentham attended this incident extricated 1 casualty who was trapped in their vehicle.


Roof Fire – Westholme, Hutton Rudby

Time of call: 16:20

Appliances from Stokesley, Northallerton, Yarm and Darlington attended this incident which started off as a fire in the garden which then spread to the greenhouse and then the nearby property.  Crews used 2 main jets and 3 hose reel jets to bring the fire under control.
