Road traffic collision - A19, Tollerton

Time of call: 1016 hours

Crews from Easingwold and Huntington have been called to a 2 vehicle road traffic collision involving a Vauxhall van and a Jeep. 2 males in the van were trapped due to the vehicle being in a hedge. They were released uninjured by the fire crews. 1 male occupant in the Jeep was not trapped or injured. Crews have used hydraulic spreaders and a reciprocating saw.

 

False alarm – Hornbeam Park Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1101 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

 

False alarm – Tanpit Lane, Easingwold

Time of call: 1256 hours

A crew from Easingwold has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown fault on the system.

 

Road traffic collision – Junction Wetherby Road and Wayside Crescent, Harrogate

Time of call: 1326 hours

2 fire engines from Harrogate have been called to a road traffic collision involving a lorry and 2 cars. No persons were trapped. 3 casualties were out of the vehicles on our arrival. Fire crews administered first aid until the arrival of an ambulance.

 

False alarm – Bewerley, Harrogate

Time of call: 1429 hours

A crew from Summerbridge has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to fumes from a boiler.

 

Roof fire – Slack Hills Road, Hurst   *** incident ongoing – update to follow ***

Time of call: 1630 hours

Crews from Reeth, Richmond and Leyburn are currently dealing with a roof fire in a domestic property. Further resources are on route from Darlington, Colburn, Bedale, Northallerton and Ripon. Crews are currently using 1 hosereel, 1 main jet and 2 breathing apparatus.

 

False alarm – Tribune Way, York

Time of call: 1701 hours

A crew from Huntington has investigated reports of smoke in this area. A full search was carried out but no fire was located.
